[36.] Getting my Frock On!

Hello dear readers (^-^)!
(if there still are any)...

So uhm, it's been a while!
Sorry there were never any "Long Lost Travel Series"...
To be honest, I lost my motivation to write.
I've been having a hard time at work and when I come home,
I just don't feel like sitting in front of a computer again...

Anyhow...
Today, I finally feel like writing about some things I've been up to!
So, without further ado, let's start post [36.]

I went to London for a weekend!
My boyfriend & I left here on Friday after work.
It was our 1 year anniversary that day <3
I've never been so in love with anyone...

Beautiful flowers I received

We exchanged our cards when we got to the hotel in London.
We are soooooo lame XD

On Saturday we did our separate things and I ended up at:
Frock On! The Tea Party Club's 6th Anniversary event.

I didn't feel very well during the day, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped.
I did, however, have some great chats with some old friends.
And! I also made some new friends from Holland <3

Here are a few of my photos (^-^)!

My Dutch friends <3
With Ziggy, she's craaazy!

The main shopping hall with loads of stalls!

With special guest Hitomi from Grimoire <3
She was so sweet & adorable!

With my favourite Portoguese, always cheering me up <3

On my way out I got a goodbye photo with Reina & Florrie, love you!

My main purchase, a beautiful OP by Millefleurs <3
So happy to finally own a piece by them!

I couldn't leave without these beauties!
Tights from Grimoire <3

I hope you enjoyed my photos!
I didn't stay for very long, because I wasn't well...
but I had a great day!

[31.] The Lost Princesses of Kensington Palace

Hello dear readers (^-^)!
Firstly, I'm so sorry for not keeping up this blog.
This will all change, right now!

At the moment, I don't have the opportunity to wear lolita very often.
I'm super busy and stressed at work every day,
so at the weekend I prefer to relax!
I do have some things coming up though.

In this post, I'd like to talk about a little meet-up,
with my London friends in January!
(Late, I know... Sorry!)

The Lost Princesses of Kensington Palace

It was a rainy and very cold morning of the 12th of January.
I was taking the coach to London to see my lovely friends!
The plan was to have Afternoon Tea at Kensington Palace.

The theme of our meet up was "Classic Lolita",
so I wore my new La danse de la dame JSK by Juliette et Justine.

The afternoon tea was so amazing!
We each got an individual tray...

Sandwiches, scones & sweet desserts
Who can say no to that?! Not me...

My beautiful friends Mel & Memz!
Sadly we didn't manage to take a group picture,
because we were chatting so much that it was dark when we left!

Here's my outfit!

Veil - Baby, the Stars Shine Bright
Wig - Mermaid Beachy by Lockshop
Jacket - Bebe
Jumperskirt - Juliette et Justine
Overknee Socks - eBay
Shoes - Vivienne Westwood x Melissa

After it went dark, we decided to take a trip to London's China Town!
I can't imagine going to China Town without taking purikura,
so obviously that's what we did!

Nice, crazy, imaginary burgers & derp, we're falling off the seats!

Awww, we all love classic so much <3

It was such a lovely outing, missing all my friends already!

Well, that's it for today...
I have another post planned for Easter, so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading,

x Chrissii x

[28.] Tea Party Club 5th Anniversary with Juliette et Justine

Good evening my dear readers (^-^)!

On the 8th of September, already exactly a month ago,
I headed to London to attend the lavish Juliette et Justine Tea Party.

To celebrate the Tea Party Club's 5th Anniversary,
Kyra (my former London housemate) managed to
host and organise an amazing event, held in the Charing Cross Hotel!

Special guests came to London, straight from Japan!

~•*Mari Nakamura*•~
Head designer of Juliette et Justine

~•*Mariko Suzuki*•~
Editor of The Gothic & Lolita Bible magazine
Former editor of KERA Maniax magazine

~•*Akira Tanaka*•~
Hair & make-up artist from Tony's Collection INC.

 ~•*Koitsukihime*•~
Japanese doll artist

The day started with early entry for VIPs (me).
We were allowed to browse around early and start buying things!
However, I was good and didn't buy anything until the end!

There were various different stalls on one side of the room
and the whole other side was packed with the most beautiful
Juliette et Justine dresses, skirts, blouses and accessories.

We had about half an hour before they let in people with
general admission tickets. After everyone had some browsing time,
we got called into a different room as the Q&A Panel was about to start!

From left to right: Akira Tanaka, Mariko Suzuki, Mari Nakamura & Koitsukihime

How cute is Mari Nakamura? Such a sweet smile!
I remember one question being asked by the panel to the public.
"How long did it take you to get ready this morning?"
Answers ranged from 48 hours(!) to 10 minutes!
For me, I think it took about 30 minutes, because
I already prepared what to wear the evening before :3

After the Q&A panel, there was a mini-raffle and then we got some
free time for lunch. There was also an option to go on a scavenger hunt,
but I was too hungry :3

Once we got back from lunch, the fashion show started!
My fellow blogger & friend Florrie took some amazing photos.
Mine turned out awful, so please look at hers!

Then we had a little bit of free time again,
while the organisers were busy preparing the main-raffle.
I took this opportunity to spend some £££ ^-^!

I bought this beautiful JSK from Juliette et Justine.
It's called "La danse de la dame".

And I also bought this beautiful key hair clip from Now Voyager!
Felicity always finds the most amazing things, you should check out her shop!

After I had finished spending all my £££ we got called to a different room.
Mari Nakamura and Mariko Suzuki were taking photos of us
and taking our questionnaire that we had to fill out. Then they told me
I looked beautiful and they gave me an autograph (*__*)!

Once I recovered from being star struck main-raffle was starting, yay!
I won a beautiful chocolate coloured bow from Juliette et Justine themselves!

When the main-raffle finished we witnessed a beautiful wedding proposal!
Not a single eye in the room stayed dry!
A massive congratulations to Kyra & Dom <3

After we dried our tears we took a massive group picture.
You can't see me in it properly as I'm in the very back...
You can see my hair accessories, so I'm going to count myself in!
I'm at the left yellow curtain, look for a little green & red spot of hair accessory XD

[14.] Piercings...

Good afternoon, readers ^-^!
Hope you're all alright!

Hello :D
Today I went and got myself a new piercing :3
I was so excited and scared, haha!

I already had 9 piercings before today.
My love for piercings started when I got my first one at 4 years old, lol.
I've always loved piercings, here are some pictures!

Left side of my face :3

Right side of my face :3

My first set of lobe piercings I got when I was 4 years old at a jewellery shop.
I asked my mother why she let me have them so young,
and she said I was begging her for them, lol.

My second set of lobe piercings I didn't actually get until I was 16!
I also got the tragus piercing when I was 16, after the others healed.
Sadly, I had to take the tragus piercing out after about 4 years,
because it gradually grew out of my ear.

The next one I got was the anti-tragus piercing, when I was 18.
Then, the rook piercing when I was 20.
Sadly, I also had to take the rook piercing out, because it was pierced wrong.
As a result, it never healed and I now have a scar from it.

That didn't put me off, obviously ^-^!
So I went and got a snug piercing when I was on holiday in Las Vegas.
I was 22 at the time. I seem to get a piercing every 2 years, haha!
But then I thought: "Why wait 2 years?"...
So I got my daith piercing last year in Camden Town, London.

And here's my newest piercing, which I got today,
as a sort of "welcome-back-to-Bristol" present!

14/07/2012 - Look at my nose! I really like it!

It's called a septum ^-^!<3 *eek*
It's my first facial piercing! It was the most painful of all my piercings so far D:
It hurt sooooo bad, but it's alright now ^-^!

Do any of my readers have piercings?
What's your opinion on piercings & lolita?

Thank you for reading ^-^!
Have a nice weekend!

[12.] Die Antwoord concert...

Good afternoon readers ^-^!
Today I'd like to talk about a concert I went to on Thursday.

~*Die Antwoord*~
HMV Forum, Kentish Town
London, 05/07/2011.

So typical!
When I move away from London,
an awesome band is playing... So; back I went!

 Die Antwoord are a South-African rap-rave group.
"Die Antwoord" is Afrikaans, meaning "The Answer".

They get their inspiration from the Zef counter-culture.
Yo-Landi Vi$$er describes Zef as: "It's associated with people who
soup their cars up and rock gold and shit. Zef is, you're poor but you're fancy.
You're poor but you're sexy, you've got style."

Their vocals are in Afrikaans, Xhosa and English.
Meaning I understand most of it, since Dutch is very similar to Afrikaans!

Yo-Landi Vi$$er and Ninja
I got to the gig around 8pm with my friend Bree & her friend.
We were wearing matching T-shirts which we made ourselves XD

Bree's says: "I kill everything I fuck" & mine says: "I fuck everything I kill".
On the backside we have each others words XD

A lot of people loved them, though I felt a little bad,
as they're lyrics from a different band D:
We hoped that Die Antwoord wouldn't mind and thought it was funny
if they'd spot us in the crowd...

Die Antwoord started playing at around 9pm.
They did lots of songs that I love;

Wat kyk jy?
Baby's on Fire
I Fink U Freeky
Rich Bitch
Fok Julle Naaiers
Sail Away Motherfuckers (ft. Enya)

And many more!

One of the only good photos I have from the gig! Yo-Landi & DJ Hi-Tek!

If I remember correctly, they ended the show around 22:30
with "Enter The Ninja".

Die Antwoord - Enter The Ninja

Die Antwoord - Baby's On Fire (this is my favourite)

I had such an amazing night!
Hopefully I can see them again some time!
It was truly incredible <3

When I'm at a concert I always drool over the merchandise!
I really wanted to buy a Yo-Landi T-shirt, but they didn't take cards.
It's such a shame, because I'd totally lose cash if I took it!
I never carry any cash!

Thank you for reading!

[10.] "Foreign" Lolitas, part 7...

Good evening/night, readers ^-^!
Super late entry, sorry! I've been really busy & had a frustrating day today!
Anyway, I won't bore you with the details, lol!

"Foreign" Lolitas, part 7...
~* Czech Republic *~

I went to the Czech Republic in December 2009, specifically Prague.
December 2009 seems so long ago now, wow!

Once there I met up with a lovely lolita called Vita.
I met Vita through one of my online friends called Lucie.
She's another lolita from Czech Republic, but wasn't living in Prague at the time.
Sadly I have lost touch with Vita now (;____;).

Vita showed me around the whole of Prague,
I remember my feet were hurting from walking so much XD
It was totally worth it though, prague is such a beautiful city!

Here are some photos ^-^!

A little bit of the Christmas Market.

Eating a crêpe <3 Delicious!

The view from Karlův Most.

City view from on top of a tower!

While I was in Prague, I also went to visit the Alphonse Mucha Exhibition.
He's my favourite artist, so it was a must for me!

long-term online friend Lucie, too <3

Lucie was studying in the UK for a year or so and
it was actually really close to where I lived at the time!
We would meet up lots and go on silly adventures ^-^!
Pro Tip: There is no Nando's in Newport.

Lucie is currently on holiday in Sri Lanka and lives in Prague,
where she works for Czech Television!
We try to meet up as often as we can and she recently came
to London and stayed with me for a whole week!
We had so much fun!
Pro Tip: Stay away from Czech alcohol.

While she was in London, we went to a Mori Girl meet-up.
Neither of us had tried the style before, but we I think we did OK!
Here's some silly pictures of us... ^-^!

I was up bright and early today (for a change, lol).

"Foreign" lolitas, part 6...
London, United Kingdom.

I love the London lolita communities.

There's always something going on and all the people are lovely.
If you'd like to have a look in the communities; I've turned the words into links, just give them a click!

I've lived in London for just over a year.
Just moved back to the countryside!

I've even lived in a house with 2 other lolitas :3
Aggie, doesn't like photos so I won't put one here.
Kyra, does though and she always looks fabulous!

Kyra is wearing Angelic Pretty's "Chess Chocolate".
She's also the owner of jewellery brand "Patisserie Pink

[6.] "Foreign" lolitas, part 4...

Good evening readers ^-^!
In today's "Foreign" lolitas part, I'll be writing about:
København (Copenhagen), Denmark.

I've been to Copenhagen twice for business
and both times managed to meet up with my lolita friend Clara!

~* Trip 1 *~

February 2010.
The Danish are quite well known for their amazing furniture.
And they proved this to me as soon as I set foot into my hotel room!
Look at this amazing chair!

I also have to tell you about this amazing iced tea I had!
It was the best iced tea in the world <3
Just look at it D:

It's winking at me!

Available in Café Norden in the centre of Copenhagen.

Ok let's get to the point!
I first met Clara on 17 February 2010.
It was cold and it was raining.

Clara and I braved the cold and went shopping :3
We got someone to take a picture of us together in a shop!

Weatherproof lolitas, lol <3

The second time I went to Copenhagen, it was February again!
This time it was snowing and even colder...
My birthday is in February and I remember wanting to do a boat tour,
but it was so cold that all the canals froze and we couldn't go!

Everything is frozen, brrrr!

I messaged Clara again that I was back and she came to meet me again, yay!
This time, we were definitely too cold to walk around!
We just stayed at the house I was staying and had some nice tea.

~* Clara's London Trip *~

In March this year, I got a surprise message from Clara!
She was going on a school trip to London, so we arranged to meet up.
As I was at work at the time I could only meet up for lunch,
but we still managed to get a photo taken ^-^!

13 March 2012 - Joe & the Juice, London.

The waiters in Joe & the Juice are mostly Danish and very handsome!
Shame they aren't very good at taking non-blurry photos :3

It's been so lovely to meet Clara and
I'm again thankful that I've had the opportunity.
I also really appreciate that Clara wanted to spend her time off with me to catch up!
She's really lovely and so is her country; Denmark!
If you have a chance, go to visit!

If you'd like to find out more about Clara, follow her Tumblr:
