[36.] Getting my Frock On!

Hello dear readers (^-^)!

(if there still are any)...

So uhm, it's been a while!

Sorry there were never any "Long Lost Travel Series"...

To be honest, I lost my motivation to write.

I've been having a hard time at work and when I come home,

I just don't feel like sitting in front of a computer again...

Anyhow...

Today, I finally feel like writing about some things I've been up to!

So, without further ado, let's start post [36.]

I went to London for a weekend!

My boyfriend & I left here on Friday after work.

It was our 1 year anniversary that day <3

I've never been so in love with anyone...

We exchanged our cards when we got to the hotel in London.
We are soooooo lame XD

On Saturday we did our separate things and I ended up at:

Frock On! The Tea Party Club's 6th Anniversary event.

I didn't feel very well during the day, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped.

I did, however, have some great chats with some old friends.

And! I also made some new friends from Holland <3

[29.] Tea Time with the Bristolian ladies

Good evening, dear readers (^-^)!

On Saturday the 3rd of November, I went to have afternoon tea

with the local ladies of the Bristolian lands!

My housemate Hayley and I walked to the venue together.

It's so funny how English people always try not to look at you,

even though it's quite obvious that they can't help themselves XD

 Oh well, Hayley & I love shocking the locals and the tourists so it's fiiiine :3

We met up at Boston Tea Party, not far from our house.

They had reserved a table for us especially.

Naturally I ordered an 'Afternoon Tea' and shared it with Hayley,

and I chose Yunnan Rose tea as my actual drinking tea!

Super delicious scone with clotted cream & jam <3

Soooo tasty! It was a bit too much, though!

I wrapped up the brownies in my napkin and took them home, haha ;)

Just remembered there was a slight dilemma with the tea spoons.

Jenny also took some photos (much better than my phone can),

so here is a delightful picture of me scoffing cake...

After the delicious meal, some of us decided to go for a walk.

We found this beautiful park that I didn't even know existed!

We managed to take a little incomplete, blurry group photo with the self-timer :3

[26]. RAWR! Wild lolitas at the zoo & dinosaurs too...

Good evening, dear readers ^-^!

I finally have the internet at my house, yay!

Wild lolitas at the Zoo.

My fellow housemate Hayley is a lolita too,

so we were helping each-other to get ready in the morning.

It's always nice to have a bit of company whilst running around

like a crazy headless chicken!

What to wear?!

I settled for my new dress from Emily Temple cute,

called "Wonderland Velveteen Ribbon" :3

Hayley & I left the house together, making her late as I was taking forever!

Sorry about that :/ - I get really annoyed with myself too...

We managed to get on a bus to the train station to pick up more lolitas

and naturally we started cam-whoring, lol!

We were a sight ourselves for the locals & few tourists!

Anyway, once we collected everyone at the train station,

we headed off to the Zoo on another bus ^-^!

Once we arrived, we went straight to the big picnic area they have,

to stuff our faces with some sugary/salty goodness!

We had things like; various cupcakes, mini meringues, quiches, 

little strawberry tarts, crisps, grapes & seeds.

I think we had a fair mix of food stuffs, there are some healthy things in there!

The mini meringue matched my dress!

After munching we roamed around the zoo, looking for cute animals ^-^!

[21.] The 30-Day Lolita Challenge, Day 1...

Hello my dear readers ^-^!

Hope you're all well.

I've seen this lolita meme go round quite a bit and I've never actually finished it,

so I thought this would be the perfect thing to do right now!

I'm always up for a challenge, haha :3

30-Day Lolita Challenge.

Day 1 - 10 Things about your lolita bubble.

I'm not even really sure what this mean...

I think things means facts in this sentence?

• I became interested in lolita after seeing a friend wear it to college.

My friend really got me into it and I think I started wearing it properly in mid 2008.

• My favourite brands are Moi-même-Moitié and Emily Temple cute.

• I have a "mild" obsession with socks; lolita really isn't helping with that!

I think I own more socks & tights than clothes :3

• I have experimented with a lot of lolita styles and sub-styles,

though I think I'm still mainly a gothic lolita at heart <3

• When I'm in a different country I always try to meet up with local lolitas.

Sadly, I couldn't meet anyone in the USA, Spain, Italy & Australia.

Hopefully I'll get another chance, though ^-^!

• I live in a house with other lolitas and we sometimes swap our wardrobes!

It's so much fun and you're not paying for "new" clothes ;)

• Someone once asked me how I would describe my lolita style in 3 words;

I answered with: "Screw the guidelines".

Because, quite honestly, I don't care what you think as long as I'm happy!

• I'm going to the zoo tomorrow, because it's time for the annual SW-loli meet!

I'm super excited, because the meet-ups are growing in numbers every year!

• I once sold over half of my lolita wardrobe, as an ex-boyfriend didn't like it. 

Pro Tip: Never sell anything because someone else doesn't like it. 

Screw everyone and be happy with yourself :D

• I love plastic jewellery. A bit too much...

I've had to glue my Baby, the Stars Shine Bright headbow back together 3 times!

Though, I did buy it in 2009... so it breaks about once a year, haha!

[20.] High street finds...

Good afternoon readers ^-^!

Argh, I went shopping 3 days ago, when I really shouldn't...

Since we had this really lovely week of sunshine for once 

(I know.. *GASP*), I figured I was in need of sandals!

I somehow lost my favourite pair of brown sandals from TOPSHOP.

I guess somehow during moving houses so often lately...

My mission for the day was to buy 1 pair of brown & 1 pair of black sandals.

What did I come home with? Errr... oopsie?!

Don't let me go through the sales...

I honestly spent all day looking for sandals that I'd love... but no luck.

Then my friend wanted us to go into Monsoon/Accessorize, so I was dragged there :3

And oh, of course I managed to find things I like in there!

1. Pink peeptoe jelly shoes 

(not quite brown or black, but super comfy)!

They were only £5.40 instead of £18! 
Accessorize is having a massive 1/2 price AND 70% off sale!

2. Two lovely pairs of tights

Only £2.20 each, instead of £8 each! AND THEY HAVE HEARTS ON THEM!

I love combining tights with lolita as I'm quite tall. 

3. Eye rock - Designer Liner

Because quite frankly, I suck at eye make-up and I thought this would be an easy way out!

£3.50 instead of £7 - not that bad I thought...

It just can't stay dry for a week in the UK, haha!

[18.] Busy Bee *Bzzzz*...

Hello everyone ^-^!<3

I'm really sorry for the lack of updates recently!

I've just moved to a new house ^-^!

We have lovingly named it the  

~☆House of Glitter☆~

 In the meanwhile, I've received a couple of things in the post!


First of all, my new wig from Lockshop!
Which I absolutely LOVE <3

It's really lovely material and doesn't look shiny at all.
For this photo I just took it out of the wrapping and brushed it with my fingers.
This wig is also heat resistant, so I can style it any way you like!

Secondly, I have received the beautiful necklace I won in a give-away!
My friend M'loes from Small Closet, Lots of Fashion sent it straight away ^-^!
I will get a nice photo of it as soon as I can!

Unexpectedly, I've had a telephone job interview today!
Hopefully I can find a job soon, because money is running out!
The person thought I was perfect for the job, so he'll call back tomorrow
with a date to arrange a face-to-face interview!


*fingers crossed*

I don't have the internet yet, at my new house (;___;)!

[14.] Piercings...

Good afternoon, readers ^-^!
Hope you're all alright!

Hello :D

Today I went and got myself a new piercing :3
I was so excited and scared, haha!

I already had 9 piercings before today.
My love for piercings started when I got my first one at 4 years old, lol.
I've always loved piercings, here are some pictures!

My first set of lobe piercings I got when I was 4 years old at a jewellery shop.
I asked my mother why she let me have them so young,
and she said I was begging her for them, lol.

My second set of lobe piercings I didn't actually get until I was 16!
I also got the tragus piercing when I was 16, after the others healed.
Sadly, I had to take the tragus piercing out after about 4 years,
because it gradually grew out of my ear.

The next one I got was the anti-tragus piercing, when I was 18.
Then, the rook piercing when I was 20.
Sadly, I also had to take the rook piercing out, because it was pierced wrong.
As a result, it never healed and I now have a scar from it.

That didn't put me off, obviously ^-^!
 So I went and got a snug piercing when I was on holiday in Las Vegas.
I was 22 at the time. I seem to get a piercing every 2 years, haha!
But then I thought: "Why wait 2 years?"...
So I got my daith piercing last year in Camden Town, London.

And here's my newest piercing, which I got today,
as a sort of "welcome-back-to-Bristol" present!

14/07/2012 - Look at my nose! I really like it!

It's called a septum ^-^!<3 *eek*
It's my first facial piercing! It was the most painful of all my piercings so far D:
It hurt sooooo bad, but it's alright now ^-^!
